Synth-pop trio Say Yes Dog has caught our ear with the summer-ready jam ‘Feel Better’, which is the third single to feature on the band’s Voyage LP released just last month. Lucky for us, SYD have given us good cause to shout about this track post-release thanks to a quirky music video directed by Adam Sait. Throughout the video, there are undercurrents of ‘80s pop culture, from the typography, to the rooftop dancercise class, to the hyper-pixelated console game, and so on. Aside from the styling, the only other thing that connects the seemingly random stream of events that bemuses our band is a small dog, which appears like some cowboy-hat-wearing omnipresence. As weird as this video is, it perfectly suits SYD’s retro indie-pop sound. - Hannah Thacker
